Erindi Game Reserve

2 Days / 1 Night

Erindi Game Reserve

Please note: Erindi is temporarily closed for renovations until 2026. Depart your Windhoek hotel at 9:00 a.m., returning on day 2 around 6:00 p.m. Travel time ~2.5 hours on ~120 km of tar road and 85 km of gravel road. On the way back we visit the craft market in Okahandja.

The Erindi Game Reserve lies south-east of Omaruru and, at around 71,000 hectares, is one of the largest private game reserves in the country. “Erindi” means “the place of water” in Otjiherero. There are more than 15,000 animals here, some now rare worldwide — lions, leopards, cheetahs, rare wild dogs, white and black rhinos and elephants. You join an ~3-hour game drive in an open safari vehicle in the afternoon and again the next morning. From the restaurant terrace you can watch hippos and crocodiles, with a constant coming and going of animals — elephants often bathe here.

Included: Transfers, overnight stay with lunch, dinner and breakfast, and 2 game drives.
